    Manley piston catalog

Does anyone have a catalog for about 1980 and if so, could you look up part # P-648? I need to find out what the compression ratio would be for a 351C with closed chamber heads. Thanks. Steve

How I spent my summer vacation.

I'm trying again. It wouldn't post the first time. I thought I'd post a couple of pics of how I spent the month of July (and to needle "HookedTrout"). I'm the one driving and the pic is of "Wild Sheep Rapid" in Hell's Canyon. I had to really crop them to get them to fit so you can't see how big...

    Rear bumper guards for sale.

I thiught I'd give you people first shot. I have a set of factory rear bumper guards, without the rubber strip, that have been bead blasted and primered/painted, one of each. When I bought my car, it had one guard in the box of parts, so I stripped and painted it to match my car (Whim. White)...

    Clutch fan question.

I've been seeing people advertise 68 Mustang clutch fans and started wondering. My car has air cond. but had a standard fan blade and spacer in the box of parts I got with the car. I thought the clutch fans were normally used on air cond. cars but am not sure. Anyone know for sure what...

    Parts list.

This weekend I will be going to a large swap meet in Portland, Or. If anyone would like me to look for something for you, instant message me offline and let me know what you want, EXACTLY what condition you're looking for and what is the most you want to pay for it. All I'll ask is what I end up...

    Air cleaner snorkle.

As some of you know, when I bought my car it was basically in boxes. One item missing was the air cleaner snorkle. I have now found two in a wrecking yard but one has a vacumn fitting for the valve and the other doesn't. Which would be correct for a '68 CS with a 302-4V, with air cond. and an...

    I'm finally in the gallery.

To all those who have so kindly asked for pictures and progress reports over the last 2 years, I'm finally in the gallery-on page 1 no less. I wish to thank everyone here that provided information and guidance so that my CS could be transformed from forgotten relic to what it is today and hope...

    Joining SAAC.

In another post, the suggestion was made we should think about joining the Shelby club to give our cars some more exposure and cement the Shelby ties. Here's a chance to voice your opinion.

Tail light harnesses on another site.

If anyone needs a tail light harness, there is a guy on www.vintage-mustang.com that has 2 for $100.00 each. Go to parts for sale and then 67-68 parts to see the ad. I don't know this person, I'm just passing along info. Steve

    Door lights?

Does anyone know of a source for the courtesy lights that go in the door or have a couple laying around they no longer want? Steve

    Console, steering wheel resto.

Does anyone know of a reputable restorer that can repair my steering wheel or console. I asked before and started looking on the auction site for new ones, but they all seem to need work or are the wrong color. Thanks for any leads. I'm actually close enough to being done that I'm dealing with...

Located a 68 HCS for sale.

If you go to www.vintage-mustangs.com then link to cars for sale and 67-68, there is a guy there with a 68 HCS for sale. I don't know him or anything about the car, just thought I'd pass it along. Steve

    Unfinished car pics.

I finally got the car back from the paint shop. Since a few of you have asked for pictures, here it is in all it's unfinished glory.

    Sticky window rollers

I think my restoration is finally getting close but I have a small problem. The car was sitting since 1980 when I bought it and all the window rollers (plastic ones that are permanently attached) were frozen. I've scrapped as much of the old grease off as I could get to and soaked them in WD-40...

    Full Throttle on History Channel

I just got done watching a new show on the History Channel called Full Throttle where they have two teams of two average guys each modify identical cars and then drag race them, winner of 2 out of three keeping both cars. The cars used for the maiden show were 68 Mustang coupes and one was even...

    Heater hose routing

Quick question. On an air cond. car, does the heater hose from the intake go to the water control valve or the firewall? Thanks. Steve

    Trunk mat pattern?

Do 68 CS's have the plaid pattern, speckle pattern or either trunk mats. I'm getting ready to order one and want to get it right the first time. Thanks in advance. Steve 8)

    Mystery Part

As I've said before, I bought my car in boxes. It's now almost finished (sounds good), but I'm stumped on one part that was in one of the boxes. I'm curious what it is/does, where it mounts, and where the vacumn line goes to. Mine is a 302 J code with air cond. and I suspect it has something to...

    Fired up the new engine!

I finally started up my rebuilt 302, mild build with KB pistons, Comp extreme energy cam, Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers and Flowmasters. At 2000 rpm (break in speed) you can't hear yourself think and the neighbors started calling and complaining about the noise. I think I'm going to like it. ;D ;D...

    Anything going on in Oklahoma?

I found out I'll be close to Oklahoma City the first two weeks of October. Does anyone know if there are any swap meets going on the weekend of the 9th, or any places other than Obsolete Ford Parts that I need to go to? Steve
