    AC Brackets?

When I bought my car the engine was disassembled and in the trunk, back seat and misc. boxes. I'm putting it back together and can't figure out how all the pieces of the AC Compressor go together and where they mount. Can someone post or email me a picture to help me out? Thanks. Steve

    Side scoops revisted-Opinions?

This one is personal opinion. It appears my left side scoop is original (pinkish fiberglass, non-functional, small relief cut in lower edge, two layers of paint like the rest of the car) but the car took a light swipe down the right side. The right scoop is pinkish fiberglass, functional with a...

    Steering wheel restoration?

Does anyone know of someone doing quality restorations of steering wheels? Mine has cracks and gaps in the outer rim and I'd like to make it like new again. Just as a note, the links to mustang68 and the gt390 forum in the resources page don't seem to be working. Steve

    Question on side scoops.

Oh keepers of all knowledge CS, I am confused and befuddled. I'm stripping my car, prepping it to go into the body shop tomorrow and ran into a situation I have no answer for. Why would the San Jose plant not put a nut on that handy bolt sticking through the body in the middle of the scoop on...

    PB Booster question

It's been a while since I took my engine compartment apart so I can't remember if there is a gasket or seal between the booster and the firewall. I can't find one listed in any of my aftermarket catalogs but it seems there should be one there. Does anyone know if there is one and if so, where to...

    Found a CS for sale

Hey Dreamer, I don't know if you already know of this one or not, but on www.vintage-mustang.com there is a GT/CS, 302 car in Texas that needs restored for $5500.00 . It apparently was in a flood so I'd be real wary but I wanted to give you the info anyway. Steve :)

    Wimbleton White Paint

???I'm starting to repaint my car, doing the A pillars, top part of the firewall, and the white that I'm spraying really looks cream colored. All the pictures I've seen of white cars look white, not beige, and I was wondering if it really is an off-white or is my paint shop just not getting it...

    trunk lid thoughts

My deck lid is munched. Tony Branda seems to have the best replacement, but by the time I buy it, ship it and have it worked to fit correctly, it would be at least $600.00. I found a guy that would fix mine for $800.00, fitted to the car. I like the idea of having original parts even if they...

    Center Console repair.

Someone in the distant past, cut a large hole in the side of my console (red) and I wish to have it repaired, if possible. Has anyone had this done and had it turn out nice enough that you couldn't tell it was butchered, and if so, by whom? If it can't be done, are replacements available...

    Parts warning!

:'( I just wanted to let everyone know about this. I ordered a replacement right front inner fender (where the battery tray goes) from Mustangs Unlimited. It's 1/2" out of square, and doesn't even come close to fitting. Of course I trimmed a corner to try and make it fit before I discovered this...

    ? on batterys and trays

My CS is a 302, auto. with air conditioning, nothing else different from the norm. Would that normally take a group 24 or 27 battery? I'm getting ready to order a new tray and want to get the right one. What are the measurements of the two different trays. Most of my old one is still there so I...

    English Ford Ad

This has nothing to do with the CS but I thought I would give you all a chance to see an ad running in the UK for the new Ford Sportka. Admin, if this is inappropriate, go ahead and pull it. Go to the link and click on view highlights. www.the-eviltwin.co.uk Steve

    Aftermarket opinions?

I'm getting ready to order some stuff for my restoration, specifically the right front inner fender (battery apron), battery tray, the California Special script, hood trim, and other misc. National Parts Depot and Year One are about the same prices and I was wondering if anyone recommended one...

    Progress report.

Just thought I'd jump in with a report. The CS went to the bead blaster on Fri. Morning to have the inside and outside of the engine bay and underside blasted. Should be back on Tues. or Wed. Then the apron under the battery tray repair and paint/ reassemble begins. I also received my car hoist...

    Color of engine compartment.

My car was originally White, repainted black, and I'm putting it back to original. The engine compartment is black but in many places, including the underside of the tranny hump, it's white under the black. Is it supposed to be white to be correct? I'm wondering if Ford painted it black after...

New to group, question on block VIN#

I just bought a CS and noticed that the vin on the block is off by two digits (car's last 3 is 112, block is 110). I figure this has to have been a mistake at the factory or it wouldn't be so close. Has anyone heard of this happening before?
