1968 Hemmings, AutoTrader, eBay, here, craigslist, etc?

I would say this site number one, because it's free and you have a dedicated audience. Number two would be cars online. I've had good luck with them. Steve

    1968 rebuilding transmission

I always include a shift kit (long ago it was a Transgo Stage II) on a rebuild. The stiffer/quicker shift actually reduces slippage in the bands, which is better for them. Steve

    1968 Go Fast Parts

Personal opinion only, but to get the type of HP you're looking for, using conventional means, you'll dump your MPG down a hole. You can pick up some "free" hp with the headers, and a little if you go to a roller cam, but you'll need to move more air/fuel through the motor, which means a more...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS J code 4 speed in Idaho

I would think for the kind of money he wants, he'd include a couple of pictures. Probably have more luck selling them separate also. Not a lot of people have 69 large to throw at a pair of cars. Steve

    1968 oil choice

As usual, Neil is right on. Ford gauges are not particularly accurate. The hash marks at either end are a "safe range" and only meant as a slightly more sporty version of an idiot light. It's why "back in the day", everyone installed aftermarket gauge packages. As for oil viscosity, lower...

1968 what type of pertronix would i use

Your distributor is vacuum advance. Male or Female relates to the distributor cap (if you're looking at a complete distributor). It's how the plug wires attach. Standard Ford is female. It looks like Pertronix doesn't make a "stock look" distributor in Ignitor II for anything, so you'd have to...

For Sale Steve's old White J-Code on eBay

Oops! You're right. I did. I wouldn't mind having it back, but he's asking a lot more for it than I sold it for, and when you add state sales tax and shipping, I'd have to pay over $41K to get it back. Steve

    1968 tach wiring help

The red with green stripe wire is the positive feed to the coil. The negative is a short pigtail that goes from the coil to the distributor, so you'll have to run a separate wire to the coil from the tach. Steve

For Sale Steve's old White J-Code on eBay

Not that I'm aware of. At least not with my permission. They need to replace the light bulb in the drivers door. A few corrections: It has an 8" rear end, and the ammeter has been replaced with a RCC Innovations voltmeter. Steve

    2007 GT Premium

I think what you paid for it is a steal. Depending on which supercharger you got, and whether or not it has an intercooler, you could be anywhere between 400hp and 550hp. If it has an external electric fuel pump, they do make a buzzing sound. The gauges show boost pressure and air/fuel mixture...

. Reno NV. MCA national show

I would also recommend, for the sake of longevity, forged pistons instead of the factory cast, and compression under 8.5:1. Steve
