1968 Showtime in Grass Valley on Saturday...

...Fabulous day doing what Mustangs were meant to do! Special thanks to Renee, Ron & Jan Moore (Mr. Mrs. "Clubpro") and Roy Christiansen who brought his GT/CS from Paradise, CA. Carol & Joe Hagler pitched in as well :-)

    Pretty excited!...

Yes, Glacier Girl flies regularly as do about six others. None have two seats that I know of, however... Here's some pics I got of GG at Reno over the recent years :-)

...'Can't think of any rear-seat P-38s that are still flying, Rob. And if there are, you'ld be packed like a sardine like those early instructors. A P-51 affords more comfort and 1800hp right in front of you with as much grace :-)

...Exactly Mike!, but I lost my damn reading glasses (and Neil's hat) during take-off and set the time machine to 1945 instead of '85! I'm at some airfield in England now... waiting for a bolt of lightning!!!
  11. Midnight Special

    Pretty excited!...

...Well, here's another pic from a distance :-) Also a picture from friend, Mark Loper as we passed across the tower and another from inside the plane. No such thing as a good hair day aboard a '17 ;-)

    Pretty excited!...

...Okay, now I really got you. You're the little "dot" at the tip of the arrow, right?
  13. Midnight Special

    Pretty excited!...

...Well Renee, I was too tall to fit into the ball turret, so with the radio room hatch removed, I was able to get you from the top of the plane (in a 140 MPH slip stream). :-)

    Pretty excited!...

...Just received an invite to fly aboard this B-17, "Memphis Belle" (from the movie) as sort of a return favor for arranging media flights for air shows in the past. We're also working hot & heavy on our Nevada County AirFest which thus far confirms six P-51 Mustangs to join 20+ other WWII...

mm...Definitely no "tweeter", but the FB can be good for extended family and other interest groups so long as you don't "friend" a bunch of whiney re-post addicts ;-) It took my sister a year to drag me onto it, but I'm glad I did... I've enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and have had...

Terry, give us a link and I'll check it out. I did a search & couldn't find it... Uncle Joe, There are benefits to a little expansion. I've been on FB since 09 and met a lot of Mustangers (within other interests) who I've directed "here" for more GT/CS support.

...I've come to love the urestored cars way more than the "chalk & daub, stickered up" trailer queens! They have a much better story to tell.
