I always like seeing big blocks all pretty and with the smog system on them.

I pretty much agree. Point I was trying to make was: when the BJ auction happened there were MANY around here that said CS prices are going up, woohooo, our cars are worth so much more now......... now that we have all gotten a dose or reality we can see what they are trading hands for now...

also, the BJ CS was bid to only $23,000 on Ebay. This confirms that people at BJ pay way too much for cars.

not sure if this gonna help I went through this on my 68 CJ. We went from a non original coil back to original and had a problem about cranking/running. We were not getting enough spark. My mechanic used a external resistor with the original coil and it seems to work fine now. I bet you are...

something I remember from when I bought a dash for a 68. Was asked this question (67 or 68) from a parts house. I remember them telling me the bolts on the side were different.

My $16500 bid would have been fine for me to spend even if it wasn't a HCS. looks like a nice vert, guess it is too bad it isn't a HCS.

I thought we were talking about the differences in dash pads. yes, 67 and 68 instrument/gauge panels are different from 67 and 68.

67 and 68 dashes are 95% the same. I think it is different on where the far sides attach to the lower part of the dash

if so that would be about $200 worth of smoke. :wink:

for the record the repro Polyglas tires make THICK white smoke pretty quickly compared to modern tires. :grin:

remember the Drydock in the first movie where they pulled in the Enterprise for repair? I was the underbidder of that model at $7500. The model is 10 feet long and around 6 feet high. Would have taken up a good amount of room at my office! I told my wife and she just rolled her eyes! priceless
