    New detailing photo Autolite Alternator

Jason, You should just buy a 1968 GT500 or GT350. No snorkle issues. Although if you buy a KR, you need a different snorkle than the 390/428's. Scott

I think that's the "S"-tube. The snorkle mounts to the aircleaner. Scott

    California Special verses the Shelby

Right, the Torrance facility was a service parts center. So, how close did I come on the parts count? Scott

    California Special verses the Shelby

Rhonda, I took a look at how many parts on a 1968 Shelby Mustang are Shelby-specific and I came up with 122. These are parts with a Shelby part number and not a Ford part number (S7MS or S8MS). They would have been ordered from "The Shelby Parts Company" in Torrance California and not from...

    California Special verses the Shelby

Russ, I show the regular J-code Mustangs with 10.0:1 compression and the Shelbys with 10.5:1. Not sure what the difference between the two would be unless it's the intake like you mentioned. And I have a 1968 J-code GT convertible with factory dual-exhaust. Same exhaust set-up as the Shelbys...

    Correct seatbelt color?

I also have a 1968 Mustang with parchment interior that has brown belts in it. It has a deluxe interior. The other gold Mustang I mentioned in the previous post had standard interior with black belts. I'm thinking that the upgraded interior got belts that matched the interior, but the...

    Correct seatbelt color?

My first thought was that they should be the same color as the interior and not black. I had a gold 1968 Mustang with saddle interior and it had black seat belts front and back. I'd check the date on the cloth tags on the belts before I changed anything...just to see if they matched the...

    Talk about Sticker Shock!!!!

I flew from California to the east coast to look at this car last week. It is truely a remarkable car. You will never find a better restored car than this in my opinion. Even if you had the money to restore this car, the NOS parts just aren't available any more. You probably couldn't restore...
