Looking for a good parts source

I usually use NPD or Virginia Classic Mustang and have never had a problem with either. Sure every once in a while a part is back ordered, but I usually ask if everything is in stock when I order. For my fasteners I use AMK and order directly from them. Big Block stuff I use Mansfield...

Rick Markko at Carlisle Events asked if I could get some high resolution photos of Cobra Jet equipped cars and forward them to him. If you own a Cobra Jet send me some photos and I will forward them to Rick. [email protected] Danny

    40th at Carlisle...

I know Carlisle puts all the 67-68 Mustangs together in the Fun Field (I think that is what they call it) so that would not be a problem with the vintage cars. I also know the late model Mach 1 guys are always together and the Yellow Mustang Club, so getting all the cars parked together both...

69 cougar engine out and gone!

I recently saw an "original" yellow car that had gold pearl shot over top of it. When the light hit it just right you stopped to take a second look and figure out exactly what you saw. Another option mixing original and custom!! Decisions, decisions. Do what will make you happy. Danny

X-Code Needs Title Help, May be for sale; Sad Story..

Earlier this week I checked out a car that was sold as a 1970 RAM AIR IV GTO JUDGE, all indications to me is the car is a re-body. The owner was doing exactly what you did. He took it to the state for inspection. I haven't heard what the StAte's "expert" determined. Something to consider...

    console question

Does your car have the correct console shifter? Two different auto shifters were used. The console shifter has two raised brackets in opposing corners to hold the selector slide in place. The chrome handle also had a small bracket on the front of it to hold the slector rod. Check those to...

    Vacuum connections without Smog

Rich, If you want the original look with an electronic ignition I would suggest you send you original distributor to BR Motorsports in Ca. for a rebuild and add the pertronix electronic module under the cap. You will have the best of both worlds. BR Motorsports will clean and refinish the...

    Vacuum connections without Smog

I agree! Two smog control systems were used in 1968 IMCO (IMproved COmbustion control) consisted of a "finely tuned distributor and carburetor calibrations." Bob Mannel explains the system in detail in his book, he also illustrates the 11 different vacuum hose systems. According to Bob the...

    Correct Distributor?

There is a somewhat new book out "Mustang & Ford Small Block V8 1962-1969" by Bob Mannel, this is an excellent book for anyone who owns a car with a small block V8. You can check it out at www.fordsmallblock.com It is well worth the $35 + $5 s&h.

    Correct Distributor?

The 302-4V with automatic was the only engine to get a single diaphram advance. Everything else received the dual.

    Carpet & Dash Pad Colors

My seats are parchment as well. I don't know why Ford worded it the way they did on the CAC report. I think a better wording would have been parchment all vinyl bucket seats with black appointments. Only the carpet and dash pad were black.
