My 68 390 4spd. fastback had the following lt blue, dk blue, white. This was documented off my original drive shaft. The light blue stripe was approximately 1/2 in wide 21 inches from the front. Dark blue 1 in wide 23 inches from the front, and white 1/2 in stripe 26 3/4 in from the front...
Steve,
The illness MAY go into remission when you are done, but it WILL return again. Stronger than before. My uncle encouraged me to remove my disc brake backing plates (on my driver) to clean and paint them "only 3 bolts". I realized the backing plates were attached to other parts that were...
Scott,
I wish I had the money for the CJ Conv.!!!
The CJ has the undercoating it and it was built in Dearborn and sold in New York. I think the undercoating was applied at the dealer or aftermarket. I have/had three San Jose cars and the only had undercoating in the wheelwells and sealant on...
I brought my new project car home yesterday. A black on black 68 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Coupe, four speed w/ 4.30 traction lock. Pretty plain car except it has factory am/fm stereo.
The previous owner gave me the Elite Marti report for the car. There is alot of undercoating on this car that...
I saw one Sunday evening at a gas station here in Maryland. I had the wife and kids with me so I did not turn around. Plus I saw the prototype and 3 others at SAAC-31. Cool cars.
Are you talking about the bead of caulking b/t the front fender and inner fender? If so, I used 3M strip caulk. I placed it in a manner that it would not protrude from under the fender.
I am willing to accept what has become the norm for the upper and lower control arms. I was speaking of the strut rods, inner and outer tie rods, and center link. I have some 35mm pictures of the disassembled parts.
Were you stamping and marking a 66 Shelby at SAAC-31?
Shelby Mustangs, Shelby Cobras, GT-40's (old and new), Tigers, Panteras, Daytona Coupe, DragonSnake, Shelby de Mexico, Trans-Am Coupes, Boss 302, Boss 429, Cougar GTE, Cougar Eliminator, 3 new Hertz Rent a Cars... you get the idea!
I just got home from Danville, Va. from the SAAC-31 Show. What an event and nice facility. Got there yesterday and stayed night. The track event was cool seeing REAL Cobras and Shelby Mustangs doing what they do best. There was a 67 Shelby with 7000 originals miles and a 68 with something...
Tom,
I have the jack handle stored under the tire with the jack, the bolt coming through the center of the wheel with the washer and the the wing nut. I have not had anyone comment on it since I changed it to this arrangement.
As you know I have the style steel wheel just like you.
