    Marti - Order Type

On the Deluxe/Elite Marti Report, there is a line called 'Order Types', followed by various order types - what do the different order types mean? I noticed almost all the reports in the gallery say "Stock", and one says "Retail". Mine says "Basic Off-Standard Equipment". Casey

Chris, what is the VIN and door tag info? It would be interesting to chase this one down. Casey

    '68 Shelby Sold for $275K

The buyer is noted as "not a registered user" which is usually someone that has been bumped off eBay. This seems suspicious. Casey

LISTEN UP!! we CAN get the engine info in one day!!!!!

As a note, I came across the statistic that only 43 428CJ coupes were built in the San Jose Plant in 1968 (between April and July). If Bob knows of 9 of them, then that leaves 36 others to sort through. Casey

I need your help; for my GT/CS Registry Book

Paul, according to Fred Goodell, "Shelby Automotive was formed in September, 1967 and was incorporated in Michigan. We actually moved everything from California in December of that year. We started building cars at A.O. Smith immediately". This is from SAAC #53 Casey

Question... "Value" of Original Owner CS?

To put it a different way. For the exact same car, in the exact same condition, I would pay 10% more for original owner - the provenance is worth something to me. I may even pay 15% more if the original documentation is with it. Casey

Final License Frames - GTCS & HCS

Just an update note. The dies for the GT/CS and HCS license frames are done. The frames should be done the third week of January. So, likely I will start taking orders in late January. I will keep everyone informed as the time gets closer. Casey

    History channel

I did not see it, but will look for it. I believe one of those cars was destroyed in a shipping accident, and another still exists? Casey

    Wheel covers

I would tend to agree with your assessment. My Marti report says the car came with deluxe wheel covers (they had good, better, best hub caps - ie, wheel covers), but along the way it got rallye wheels like yours. There is a debate that dealers could have made the switch in some cases when the...

Project.....Anyone with a Elite Marti report please read

Jason, you are right on, and this is the best way to go about it for now. Kevin has been slow to deal with (my first written request with statement of work was August 1), and he wants legal copyright agreements with no-limit financial liability for breach in place before providing the data...

    Marti Report

Dave, it is a copy of the original FORD dealer window sticker that would have come on the car new. You can see it in my gallery. Casey

    Marti Report

Hey, dont let me ruin anyone's fun! The Elite Report is still nice! (BTW, Marti offered to send me a Home Depot gift card to take care of the broken glass - so they came through to make it right). The window sticker is definitely nice. Casey

    1966 Shelby Coupe

It appears there were quite a few built for Trans Am racing. Here is one: 1966 Shelby Mustang Notchback #86 Originally driven by Anthony “Tony” Fucci, Ken Duclos, & Bob Arego History of this one at: http://www.historictransam.com/Drivers/StephenSorensonMustang.htm Interesting reading. Casey

Decent fairly original CS on Ebay

I assume "curb alarms" were the old wire curb feelers from the 60's, but the add says they are still installed, and I dont see them. So, what is a curb alarm? Casey

Decent fairly original CS on Ebay

This is a cool car (not just because it is Sunlit Gold!). 1. Hopefully it can be put into the registry, since it is clearly authentic. (does anyone put "found" cars into the registry?). 2. To all the threads about dealers making deals to add things, there is some neat documentation of...
