    Little Blue Coupe

Thanks Neil It would be nice to get a little for my time but mainly do not wish to loose the dollars invested in it. What I really gain from each car I do is the opportunity to learn some more concours details. If I can not at least get My investment I'll drive the good out of it. What is tough...

Coils or leaf springs? The year is not too important, the model and equipment is what spring is selected for. Marty

    Little Blue Coupe

Neil I have done several 6s and they are surprisingly real nice driving cars, light and nimble and nice to steer with out power steering. Here is a picture of the last 6 that I did. It was a Sprint. Neil you are far more experienced in flipping cars that I , What things would you do to this car...

67-68 6cil. spindles are the same as V8 ones. Last year we added disc brakes to my son's 67 GTA so everything we removed from his car will work on this one and the parts were still nearly new. Discs are for the new owner to do. Marty

I like the Torque Thrust Ds too. My son's 67 GTA in the thread Late Winters Drive has them. As for the lack of a rocker molding I too think it looks plain. I will use the molding but not sure about any stripes. Here are some of the things I have ready for the car. It is a C code 289 I am...

    1968 Heater core replacement

This is the statement I was referring to. "The heater/evap box is in good shape (except for the drain nipple). But gosh it sure does seem fragile. I was thinking of maybe sanding it down (lightly). Then covering it (inside and out) with a light coat of epoxy for reinforcement, and then...

    1968 Heater core replacement

I would not coat the inside with anything if you have no breaks. A lot of it has close tolerances and thing may not work properly even if you only add a small amount of thickness. I have good luck cleaning with Dawn and a scotch brite pad then just wiping two coats of Maguire's 40 vinyl and...

    1968 Buyer beware

Neil does it have a grove machined in to the base like the originals? If so I use a O ring and some silicone and do not have much trouble with them. Marty

    1968 Heater core replacement

I have fix several of them with JB Weld epoxy with no problems. You think getting it out was hard wait till it goes back in. Holding up there and lining up the studs in the firewall can be challenging. I would get some help for that. Marty

    Little Blue Coupe

I do not know how I messed up that paragraph so much, but it is fixed now. Sorry about that. Guys the idea here is to save the car, used some of Marty's non concours parts and to sell for more than I have invested in it. My plan is to do one or two cars like this and sell them to fund the GT350...

    . Late Winters drive

We had a nice Sunday afternoon drive today with my son and daughter in law. We drove the 68 GT350 and Craig and Andrea drove there 67 GTA coupe. There is a HWY that runs right next to the Platt river with twists and turns. It is not unusual to see a eagle catching a fish. The big worry is not...

    Little Blue Coupe

I am restoring this 67 Night Mist Blue coupe and have been writing articles for our club news letters. I thought some of you might enjoy watching a non concours restoration. I have a few upgrades plan for it but would welcome your suggestions. No Rob I am not putting a Super Cobra Jet in it, but...

    1968 Weatherstrip

The best I have found was the Daniel Carpenter USA made. Rob is right the newer stuff is thinner and less dense. I had to use some adhesive in places the make it stay in place. Marty

    1968 door grille template

IMHO it made it easer to cut a rectangular hole, but probably did not do much for the sound quality. I think we may have discussed earlier that there were only standard and deluxe doors. When a car got a option that required a door speaker it was cut on the line so it needed to be done quickly...
