'65 "vintage" racer - Fake rust

Not exactly my flavor, but I give him points for originality and imagination. And speaking as a painter, shading and ghosting an entire car like that is takes an insane amount of labor, patience, and a steady hand. Damn.

For Sale 1968 Blue GT/CS 289 on Autotrader

Not a bad looking ride. I'm not feeling any love for those blackwall tires, and it looks like something went terribly wrong with the exhaust tip installation. But both easy fixes.

    For Sale 1968 J-code 4 speed GT/CS on E-bay

Great looking cali. I love the wheels. It gives it kind of a "Bullitt" look with that color combo.

For Sale Ouch! - Salvage title 68 GT/CS sideswiped pretty hard

Washing titles is virtually impossible here in Michigan any more. Once upon a time we had a used car dealership in Ohio that would buy all our rebuilt salvage cars. He would title the car in his state, then we could buy it back with a clean title. These tri states are wise to that now. Even if...

For Sale Ouch! - Salvage title 68 GT/CS sideswiped pretty hard

Naw. That's an easy fix. Childs play for the boys in my body shop. The salvage title is the painful part. That makes the value only half of what it would take to repair that. Too bad. Looks like it would make a great donor car for someone who is restoring one though.

    1968 Going to Malta!

Check out the movie "Popeye" with Robin Williams and Shelly Duvall. The entire movie was filmed in Malta. It's one of the most beautiful islands in the world. As a Sicilian, that was hard for me to admit.

    1969 Fopar

We have something similar in my neck of the woods. There is a guy here that frequents our local car shows with a 69 Chevelle SS. It's a beautiful stock, correct looking car until he pops the hood to reveal a 72 351 Cleveland CJ motor! Painted Ford blue of course. The chevy guys here go crazy...

LMAO. Like when you were a kid and had baseball cards in the spokes of your bike.

    1968 GT Wheels

Not a dumb question at all. Cover the studs on the back sides with Gorilla Glue. As it dries, it will expand around the stud and clip. Be sure the back side of your center cap is clean before applying the glue. I did mine about 5 yrs. ago and is still holding. Good luck.

1968 Are these correct for GT/CS Lucas fog lights?

Good info Oscar. When my Dad purchased his 69 Shelby GT500 new From Al Long Ford in Detroit, they didn't come with any covers. He had to purchase them from the parts counter. But I can't remember if they were the round eye style. I was only 10 years old and wasn't paying attention to details...

1968 Are these correct for GT/CS Lucas fog lights?

You are correct sir. The square eyed covers were produced in the early 70's for Land Rover and other European companies that used these same Lucas lights (Jag I think too). This is why I made the statement " not correct for a CS". They weren't even around yet. With that being said, square...

1968 Are these correct for GT/CS Lucas fog lights?

I'm not 100% sure for a Shelby, but definitely not correct for your CS. They need to have the round hole in the middle like these. I believe the covers on that auction are for a Land Rover.
