    Airplane lovers, sad day.

Also Sam, I failed to mention in my post that my great uncle flew during the war as well. Athough not a B-29, he and his B-26 Martin Marauder (named "Lucy-Quipment" with full blown naked pinup painted on the fuse) flew 30 successful missions over Italy and the surrounding Mediterranean. He has...

    Airplane lovers, sad day.

That is a sad story indeed. My boss lost his P-51D (named Grim Reaper) a few years back. He crashed it at the Ontario (Canada) Air show while attempting a difficult manuver. He walked away with only a few broken bones, but the airplane lies in a million pieces here on our hangar floor. This was...

Nice car! Tastefully done. I'm not a restomod fan, but that would definately look good in my collection. Nicholas

    Cs on ebay-check description

He doesn't have much room to talk about ugly with the hidious looking wheels he's got on that car. (God, please let the Eleanor craze fade away. It's a slap in the face to our hobby)

Book Question: Restomod info or no?

I'll have to agree with Joe and Steve on this one. Preservation, not alteration should be the main format of this book. My .02.

    My Carribean cruise

The wife and I did a 10 day Princess cruise last year for our 20 year annivarsary. We had a great time. We hit Grenada, Martinique, and the Cays. It was our first cruise but won't be the last. We are already planning a Western Caribe cruise for next year. I can't wait. Nicholas

    ...IF your GT/CS is "fast"....

The ambulance at our local Fire Dept. has a similar message in it's side mirror. It says- "Caution, Lawyers in the mirror are closer than they appear" I thought that was clever. Had to share. Nicholas

    What was your first car?

I bought my first ride in 1976. It was a 68 Ford pickup. This truck was a rusted out piece of junk, but it was all mine and paid for. Both floorboards were completely gone, so my girlfriend had to ride with her feet on my lap. We covered up with a blanket to stay warm and keep the road spray off...

    Go Tigers!!

It's about time. I've sat through 20 years of lousy baseball in hopes of a miracle season like this. Congrats to the Tigers. If they win or lose the series, they had a great season. Go Tigers, Go Wings!

Need side mirror for my CS

If it's a manual mirror, I have a spare hanging in the shop. It is a correct OEM rectangular takeoff from a 68 I recently parted out. It's in pretty good shape as I recall. If you need it, shoot me a PM. Nicholas

    Favorite Aircraft?

Awesome Tigercat pix. As you know, our Tigercat was restored to it's original wartime colors and markings when it was purchased by John Ellis. It is still pristine today and fly's on a regular basis. I logged in many hours of upkeep and repair on that old girl. So it still has a special place in...

    Favorite Aircraft?

Tim, I was employed at Kal Aero in Kalamazoo Mi. as an airframe mechanic in the body shop from 1985 to 1995. I left when the company was bought out by Duncan Aviation and relocated to Battle Creek. As you already know, Kal Aero/Duncan owns the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. Known famously for it's complete...
