1968 Question about rear plate bracket

Should be only 2 holes for the bumpers. Possibly it is a reproduction or PO drilled holes to mount plate or frame from bottom.

    1968 NOS dash pad wanted

The reproduction has a very rough grain on it. originals are like smooth leather. Here is a picture of the repop. http://dealeraccelerate-all.s3.amazonaws.com/fastlane/images/1/0/8/9/1089/38640_614d8c0741_low_res.jpg

There are no correct reproductions that I know of and I have never seen a NOS pad. I do find some restorable original from time to time. I do not currently have one though. Marty

1968 Quarter Panel Extension Seal / Weatherstripping

Our cars do not use the quarter extension seal because they are fiberglass and have no groove for it. Daniel Carpenter has a catalogue for his parts. I do not know any venders that only sell the Carpenter USA exclusively. It is best to always ask.

    1968 Trunk lid weatherstripping

Anyone restoring a 68 HCS, GTCS or Shelby convertible needs this information. Most of the trunk weather stripping sold to day will not work on our cars. I first used a Scott Drake seal and could not even get close to closing the lid. I then tried a Daniel Carpenter (made in China) and it was...

The 68 and 69 column vacuum motors are mounted on a bracket that is attached to the dash and uses a cable to release the column. The difference between the 68 and 69 is...
