What is your gas cost today?

Our trailered trip to Concord Ca. is in jepordy as a 3400 mile round trip @ 10 or less MPG may be more than we can do. We will be there but flying also. Marty

    1968 Adding headrests to a '68

Nice fix. I used the whole 69 seat back on my son's 68 when we did it. I like your idea, too bad you still have to remove the cover. Marty

1968 Who Sells the Good Bumpers?

Hi Eric, I did not post about the NOS bumper trying to sell it. I am restoring a concours trailered High Country Special and have a Ford replated bumper for it. I may use the NOS one. Either way I may have one to sell, I'll let you know. Marty

1968 Who Sells the Good Bumpers?

Saturday I had a guy come to my shop who is cleaning up a junky property in my small town to say he fonnd some mustang stuff I might want. He had a rusty 65-66 fastback rear folddown seat assembly and interior quarter covers but what really interested me was a New Old Stock 1967 Mustang rear...

1968 Trans and Rear VIN Location

If the rear axel specs match up with the Marti report it most likely is original. The manufacturer dates should be 1-2 months before the build date of the car. Marty

    1968 rear tail light panel

In some ways I think the concours metality is becoming a detriment, as it leads to a "one way" methodology, when on a line running 24/7 with multiple people filling the spot IMHO the reality is variations and differences did occur... Agreed, it is very easy to over restore these cars. On the...

    Scott Drake Lower Control Arms

The 67 version has 4 holes in it as the strut rod is strait and crosses it at a 45 dergee angle. The 68 strut rod has a hocky stick end. Marty

    1968 Help me locate

Actualy the replates look better than NOS because Ford only did double chrome, most platers now do triple chrome. Most NOS also has some shelf ware on them. I would recomend replating yours if they are original because they have the correct date codes for your car. Marty
