    Driveshaft Markings - 68 San Jose S code/C6 - non GT/CS

If you dip in Evaporust for a few hours you will be able to see the paint marks more clearly. Be ready to take pictures as a lot of the paint will wash off when you clean the shaft. Marty

1968 Additional Engine Cooling when Adding AC

Yes the 67 AC set up used the clutch fan, in 68 Ford went to the flex fan. There possibly were some early 68s that used the clutch fan. This may have not been true on the Cougar line. Forum member Murf has a very original GT-CS that has the flex fan. He has since added a clutch fan. Marty

1968 Additional Engine Cooling when Adding AC

Arlie, I have the lower rad. mounts a most of the original AC system. I have done cars using only the sandan compressor and 134A. It is easy to knock out the AC cut outs on the firewall. As Neil said I would use the new 6 circut condencer. Marty

    1968 Front Grill Repair

I would not try welding. If there are not too many breaks JB weld epoxy works well with a small piece of reinforcement behind. Marty

    Orange Pumpkins

I also noticed there is no black sealer around the Seat Belt backing plates. Also I think the front leaf spring bolts are incorrect. They look to long. They should recess into the chassis from inboard and the hole filled with a rubber plug. I hope I didn't overstep the request. The spring...

1968 Are these the correct seat belts?

They are C8 belts but the male or outter half should be in a recoil housing for a fastback or coupe. Marty

    1968 Factory Disc brakes

Neil You must be talking about using a after market booster because if you use the Midlands or Bendex you need to change the pedal and brake switch. It's the same setup for power dics or power drums. I had a 67 6cil Mustang that I added a booster and the drum brakes worked very well even with...

I have a friend in my car club who installed the Borgensen system in his 68 S code fast back and likes it very much. He races a 08 Roush so I trust what he says. Marty
