1968 Battery dead, any suggestions for a new one?

This area is very prone to rust. You should paint it at the very least.

1968 Battery dead, any suggestions for a new one?

Ford batteries are great! I put one in my 7-Up Car and it's almost 13 years old now. It's only just starting to give signs that it might be time for a new one.

1968 Battery dead, any suggestions for a new one?

What I have done with mine is to get a Topper, which looks like an orignal Autolite battery top, and put a high-crank, no maintenance modern battery under it. Looks (almost) correct, and is fuss free.

    1968 Marti report question

As discussed in your earlier post, 289s were based on 302 blocks in 1968. You are very fortunate that you DO have the original engine in your car as evidenced by the vin number on your block. The Marti would not show it as a 302 because it is a 289.

    1968 Engine Questions

Block & heads are back to the shop, and Bob is working on things as he can. Problem is, the other head mechanic is away and Bob gets stretched out pretty thin. We had to replace both heads as the one was cracked and the other had too much wear.

    1968 A little guidence please

You live in Victoria? Cool. If you are not already, you might want to consider joining the local Mustang club. Vancouver Island Mustang Association. Al Page and myself are members. He has an S code GT/CS, while mine is a C code like yours.

    1968 A little guidence please

National Parts Depot sells some very good reproduction parts. Scott Drake is very good on some stuff, and not quite so much on others. In my case, I try to use the best parts I can, and keep the car as original as possible without breaking the bank. I'm not going concours, but I do appreciate...
