The underside of the floorpans look nice and solid. I'd leave the coating on, and I would not add another layer to it.

I believe that only the 4v engine cars could have the GT package. I also understand that only something like 8% of all the GT/CS cars built were genuine GT cars. Many non-GTs have had the GT hubcaps and GT rear valances installed along with the dual exhaust tips.

Exhaust sound preference is very subjective. My preference might not be the same as the next persons. Having said that, the system I put on my C-code is a Walker H-pipe with Walker Ultra-flow mufflers. It sounds good around town with a nice rumble. You will hear it when you put your foot...

Correct. There were many items that could be dealer installed which were not available from the factory. C-code cars in 68 were all single exhaust from Ford.

C-codes did NOT come from the factory with dual exhaust. You could however have a dealer installed dual exhaust system.
