    1968 rear seat sound deadener

My car has what appears to be the original piece under the rear seat and extending into the trunk. It is what I would describe as paper-backed asphalt. It feels slightly oily and smells like asphalt. I ordered the reprodution piece for over the gas tank and it is the same stuff.

1968 Langford Car Show today ...

He certainly seemed to be enthusiastic about restoring his Dad's car. I think he said the car was Lime Gold though. Or maybe I just heard him wrong.

1968 Langford Car Show today ...

No HCS cars there. This show is mostly local cars from southern Vancouver Island.

Good idea! My car came from Cecil Whitebone Inc. in San Francisco. Love to find stuff from that dealer, especially a plate frame.

1968 One Less On the Road, RIP - 8R01C147881

That is a real shame. Looking at the driver's door, it is amazing that you were not hurt more. I think you got off very lucky (other than the car obviously).

The man asked for our opinions. I really don't feel anyone went overboard in giving them. JMHO...

1968 Should I buy? Help request

The car sounds to me to be worth the $10,000 they offered it to you for. Minor damage fairly easily fixed is not a big deal. An all original intact GT/CS is a rare thing these days. Go for it.
