    August 18th, 2007 GT/CS-HCS BBQ

Sorry I'm going to miss it but I'll be there in spirit. I found a place that serves Tri-tip near my house ... supposedly the only place in NY to serve it. I might have to go there soon... In honor of the bbq ... I need to try this stuff! I also found out a small speciality store near me...

    Engine Pics Request

Thanks Guys!! I thought it was black too but wanted to double check. I looked through Mannel's book (but I guess it's not really an engine part) and I looked at the MCA rules too and I couldn't find it either Casey. I'm not going concourse but would like to do things right where I can. I...

    Engine Pics Request

Sorry for another question ... I've looked all over but can't find this one. What is the correct color of the heater blower motor where it comes through the firewall (engine side)? Is it natural or black? I've tried to find pics but it seems like we all take pics at an angle from...

    Correct engine color?

OK here is the latest... The Plastikote Ford Blue #224 was a real close match to my 302. After comparing the 2 engines, the 302 is the darker, correct color. The 289 on the other hand is definitely lighter and it's definitley not the Old Ford Blue #205. I spent the $6 at the local auto...

    Correct engine color?

Bringing this thread alive again with some questions on paint color for the engine. I wanted to touch up a few spots on my 289's engine and bought the Plastikote Ford Blue #224 Engine Enamel. It's definitely darker than the blue on my 289 and I'm pretty sure it's probably darker than my 302...

    how to identify gt/cs ??

Marti will fax the report to you .. I think it's an extra $10, they also mail a copy in addition. As everyone said get the Marti report to be 100% sure. If the VIN doesn't start with 8R01 there is no way it can be a GT/CS 8R01 indicates a 1968 Mustang Coupe built in the San Jose, CA plant...
