    Just to Help Jack

This looks like a good car to use as an example to show Jack and his father what is not correct on a GT/CS.

    2005 Registry Update Thread

This is from the SAAC site. < BOOK UPDATE - 5/13/09> I am progressing well on the book, and in fact, just found the Ford designer that did the '68 GT/CS. I will be interviewing him for the book. I'm making strides on new information for Little Red and the Green Hornet prototypes. For...

. Satan is a cool girl

I must disagree with that. The timing on my car changed when I adjusted the points, as it would need to since the spark reaches the plug either earlier or later.

Are you saying that the Pertronix doesn't materially affect timing or changing the point gap doesn't materially affect timing?

. San Fernando Valley, Calif show in August-anyone?

The show seems to be right next to the Van Nuys Airport. Don't know if that's a commercial airport. Burbank Airport is down the street.

. ADMIN - Got rid of "NEW" icon

I've never clicked on the "New" icon so I don't know what it does but if it takes you to the newest post you can get around that by setting up your UserCP to list posts in reverse order, with the newest posts first.

If I remember correctly the Pertronix 2 system does adjust the timing via changing the dwell at certain times. I think it's only at initial start-up. The original Pertronix system did not do this. Those of you with points please note that changing your point gap, or dwell angle, changes your...

    Critique this '68 GT/CS on Ebay ...

It's also on Craigslist http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ctd/1152150002.html The foglight posts look too light but they may just be faded or the sunlight may be reflecting off them. The radio knobs are incorrect Definitely has the wrong radiator. It will probably run hot with the AC on. On...

I find it interesting that the high bid is close to what the seller has into the car. Who makes a bid of $34,999? That is also an interesting number. My guess is that the the top 2 bidders are the seller and a friend, relative, or employee.

From what I've seen the most common mistake people make is getting the vacuum hoses switched. The easiest way I know of to tell if the hoses are correct is to pull them off while the car is idling. The front hose should have no vacuum but the rear hose should have strong vacuum.

    Car Shows

No, they'll take anything. My guess is that it was originally meant to be a way to reward people who had the original kits for their cars, but it somehow got twisted into awarding points for any tool kit, first aid kit, etc. Either that or it's a way to make sure the regulars win.

    Car Shows

Is it a common practice in car shows to receive extra points for displaying tools, a first aid kit, an oil can, and a display board? Bill and took our cars to show yesterday that awarded up to 10 extra points for this stuff.
