Talk to me about heater cores. I've replaced my heater core 4 time in 10 years all while it's been in storage. Does the car sitting with antifreeze in the heater core cause it to rot and leak? I can't imagine that I've just been dang unlucky and got 4 bad cores. The core in it now is leaking...

Speaking for myself I'll be the first to congratulate a trophy winner. It takes a lot of patience to live with a beauty queen but there's a lot of reward in doing so when you peer under the covers. :o And if it makes a show winner feel better to rub in someones face they can use mine anytime...

#2 for me. I want her to look original and fresh but be a driver. Someday when I'm retired and have lots of time I may go more for the total ground up restoration. I do have a trailer to haul her if I need but short of long trips she'll have her rubber on the road. Hook

Anyone have a spare retainer that holds the socket in place? I have the socket and the lighter but not the retainer that screws on the back and holds the socket in place. Hook

Good information, I was digging around today putting in the new flasher unit that did no good and noticed there are a couple of dead end wires under there. One goes to the cigarette lighter which has some issues I'll bring up at another time, but there was also a double plug that isn't plugged...

Everything works except the turn signals front and rear including the hazard lights. I put in a new flasher unit, did no good, I still have no turn signals. :'( Cory

Put the new rad-cap on and took her out again last night and no more antifreeze stripes on the road. ;D Did leave a few black stripes however and my 21 year old son was impressed. ;) Hook
