    Turn Signals

The only thing I have done thus far and I should have mentioned this, is turn on the key and try the signals to no avail, then I tried all the other lights to make sure that was the only issue I had. I'm glad you suggest starting at the simple things like fuses and flasher unit. I was hoping...

    What is it?

On the inside of the trunk on the fender there is some kind of stuff sprayed on for a sound proofing or something, in places it is a light coat and in other places it looks like it is 1/8 inch thick and in strips. Not sure how to explain it really. Not really strips but it looks like the foam...

    Turn Signals

Went out and played with the car a little today and I was correct in that my turn signals aren't working. :'( I have hazard light at all 4 corners, headlights, and brake lights. Any suggestions on where to look first? ??? Hook

    Shelby Dress Up Kit

I think even the new cars have similar markings, the only problem is that you can't see the engine anymore. :o For the kicks and giggles of it if I remember today I'll check my new truck or Expedition and see if there are any under that hood that can be found. Hook

    Exhaust

They host a car show/rod run in June in Jackson Hole Wyoming just South of Grand Teton NP and a car show/rod run in West Yellowstone in August. Might be fun if we were ever to do a get together in the Yellowstone/Teton area to try and time it for one of the shows then we could take in the show...

    Fired up my GT/CS

So far Hagarty seems pretty good to me, I'll bump my value up to $20 when I get it refinished. Like to talk to someone that has made a claim with Hagarty and see how they are to deal with after an accident. But it's like my agent informed me, Hagarty is reasonable on cost because they realize...

    Shelby Dress Up Kit

If you look closely I would venture to believe that you will find your car has the paint marks as well unless it has been completely repainted underneath and in the engine compartment. My car has never been restored short of paint on the outside and interior and albeit they are faded and...

    Shelby Dress Up Kit

I guess your restoration would all depend on whether you were going for the fresh off the "Showroom Floor" or fresh off the "Assembly Line" look. Me...I'm going for the this car is way cool tearing up the street look. ;D Hook

    Exhaust

Well so far my list has settled on 2 1/2 inch pipe and Deltaflow Flowmasters. Should go in on the 26th for the exhaust work. The insurance kicks in this Thursday so I can take it for a little cruise...at least further than around my house. ;D So Paul, are you planning that little get...

    Exhaust

Made an appointment for exhaust work, anyone have a recomendation on the Flowmasters? He said they have 3-4 different types and he said the original muscle type flowmaster was the best buy so I guess I'll go that way unless someone has some advice. :-\ Hook

To Shroud or not to Shroud?

Ok then, that being true my car appears to be correct without a shroud. Not worried about concours by any means as I want to rip up the road but I do want to keep it pretty much original and I'll just dump a bunch of money in it every 100,000 miles or so like Paul so I can keep ripping it up...

To Shroud or not to Shroud?

I guess I'm more interested in the question as to whether or not they came out of the factory in some cases without a shroud. My car is a non AC car as well. Any original owners out there that can verify a small block V8 non AC car without a shroud from the factory? I'm not concours...

To Shroud or not to Shroud?

Figured I'd start a new topic on the shroud issue so I could better understand where my shroud went and if I should replace it. How many 289's still have their shrouds in place. I don't remember mine ever having one. It could have been abandoned during some of the clutch replacements but I...

    Troubleshooting

I wouldn't overlook the plugs or the wires even though they were new. If you fouled a plug it could create the problems. Not sure how the choke on your carb is set up but I'd check to make sure it is adjusted right as well. My 2 barrell has a choke that just twists around and if it isn't set...

    Clutch fan question.

Looking at Stephens 289 it doesn't have a shroud either. Is the shroud a factory thing or a good idea to add on? I've never had any problems with mine overheating? Hook
