It could be that the chocolate darkens over time due to the sun. My aqua dash seemed to be black until I removed it and looked at the underside in the light. It really was dark aqua!

Shoot, I forgot to mention that the seller now has a Marti report. Wasn't there a post a few weeks ago stating that the only factory stripe colors were black or white? Were there any black cars with gold stripes?

Says the guy with a restomod '66. I just spent an hour looking at the car and taking it on a test drive. Jason is right, this is not a car for a purist. The auto has been replaced with a 4-speed, the 289 has been replaced with a 302, there is a monster sway bar on it, as well as GT rear panel...

Unless they picked one up at a dealer auction or traded for one. According to Paul (I'm paraphrasing) any car could have been sold by any dealer anywhere.

If I remember correctly Paul assisted in the restoration of the Green Hornet. If you run a search on past posts you should be able to find where he talks about it.

But there are no bids. It'll be interesting to see if there are any by the time the auction ends. There is another pair for sale for an opening bid of $450 and no one has bid on them yet either.

Wow, what a unselfish, caring act. The way we all look out for each other on this site is just so touching I'm getting all choked up. It's almost like a huge, albeit dysfunctional, family!
