    Headlight Bucket Help

Wtih your help the buckets came off without a hitch. There were no gaskets between the headlight buckets and the fenders. Likewise there were no gaskets/seals between the quarter panels and end caps. Should I have gaskets and if so does anyone make them?

    Deck Lid Weatherstrip

My camera takes photos over the 100kb posting limit. Figured out how to crop a little off today. This is the photo of my decklid. It has only one weatherstrip piece and shows no indication that a second used to be there.

    Headlight Bucket Help

Started the dissassembly phase of my restoration. Can anyone tell me how to take the headlight buckets off my car without messing them up? As best as I can tell I have removed all attaching hardware except one nut accessed from the wheelwell way up in the corner closest to the hood. I don't...

    Original or Almost?

Thanks guys, Your thoughts are appreciated. 68GT390 you stated "replacing the GT/CS pop open gas cap with a GT pop open cap" just curious why the change? I have been flipping back and forth from 100% stock to putting a 350 hp 351 in the car. (I already have the motor). The down side of...

    Original or Almost?

I'm in a quandary and looking for some advise. I'm getting itchy fingers and am almost at the point of starting my restoration project (withen days). My car is in it's restoration spot in the garage and Iv'e read more books than I'm willing to tell. I beleive I have a game plan decided on (I...

    California Black Plates

I would try to find out what type of car the plates were originally on. Maybe you'll get lucky and it was a 68 Mustang. Another idea is to tell the DMV that while doing the restoration. You found the original owner and he gave you the plates. They might buy it. Good luck!

ADMIN - Vote for the 2005 Calendar!

It may be to late to fire this one out there. Being a guy I am always asking when's Easter, Valentines, Mother's Day, etc. Will these oh so non-forgetable days be highlighted. Apart from being gorgeous to look at I would also like to see my calendar as user (me) friendly. Looking forward to...

    Mystery twist locks.

The twist locks on the GT/CS were installed by the dealers. If you look at the place on your hood where the twist locks go through the support frame, you will notice it's not a smooth factory cut. I don't know how likely it is but possibly the person who purchased that car requested the twist...

GT/CS clip in 2005 Mustang Commercial

Paul, Do you know if anybody has a copy of this original T.V. ad for the GT/CS ? It would be pretty neat to see it. Would gladly pay for the disk and mailing if it's too big to e-mail.

GT/CS - Soup to nuts restoration?

He had to have received the Marti report. $10,000 is a bunch of money to drop the start bid by all at once. Trouble is we all know (or at least are pretty sure we do) it's a fake GT/CS. He was looking for a sucker before. What's he looking for now?

    Reflective Stripes?

Thanks everbody, The original stripes are still on the inside edges of the doors. This car was Alcapulco blue with black interior. The stripes were originally white which is what I'll go back with. I'll stick to a unreflective stripe. Have a great weekend all

GT/CS - Soup to nuts restoration?

Hey Y'all, I couldn't help getting in on this one. I asked the guy the question about the script. I don't know about any of you but my money is with the team that says he will be VERY dissapointed when he gets that Marti report. (if in fact it is ordered) This is his response to me. "The car...

    Reflective Stripes?

Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I see adds stating non-reflective and reflective stripes for a GT/CS. Are both of these correct replacements? My car was built in March if that makes a difference. Thanks Y'all

    Cowl Cleaning

A while back I posted the question how do I clean the cowl of leaves, debris and such. I received some good ideas and then used one of my own. It worked so well I thought I would share it with y'all. I used a pair of chop sticks, a home vacuum, a straw (large diameter fast food type) and a...

Sounds like a great idea. You definitely don't want a picture of my GT/CS hanging on your wall.
