    What was your first car?

I hate to say this but my first car was: 1967 Chevy Camaro SS/RS convertible, 350 small block, 4 bbl, 4 speed, 3.73 posi rear end. I only paid $300 for it in 1974 and will regret selling it to my dying day! It is now a very collectible muscle car and would be worth some serious change. Oh well!

New GT/CS Owner - Need some engine help

OK Guys, I ordered an engine - it's all correct, except I'm having it built with the 347 Stroker kit. My next question is - What is the correct color for the engine? The rebuilder says he has the lighter Ford blue or a little darker blue he calls Mercury blue.

I have posted the pertinent info on the registry now. BTW, I'm told that the original 302 4V was 230 HP.

New GT/CS Owner - Need some engine help

Thanks John, Steve, and all the rest! I think I'm well on the way to getting this solved now. I have found several professional rebuild companies that can supply a long block with the right numbers if I'm patient. Does anyone know what the original engine HP was with a 302 4V? I'd like to...

New GT/CS Owner - Need some engine help

Thanks, I want to keep it factory correct, but since I will have it in Alaska (garaged, of course), I'm not interested in a full-blown Concours restoration, just nearly so! My Dad uses it as a daily driver, since he also has a concours quality 65 convertible already. It is low miles...

New GT/CS Owner - Need some engine help

I just "inherited" a complete, running 68 GT/CS!!! Actually, I convinced my Dad that he needs to buy a new one and give me his old one! Anyway, it is all original except for the engine/carb. He tells me that the original, correct engine is a 302 4 barrel, but it has a 351-W 2 barrel. Sooo...
