    1968 Engine options

    Firstmustang, you should make up your own mind as to YOUR vision for this car. If you like them original, (which many of us do) then keep it that way to the degree that you can. If you want a hot rod, go for it. Just remember that the GT/CS is a fairly rare car. In the end...it's YOUR car...

    1968 Car Lite logo placement

    Mine was built March 15th, with a non-tint. Both the windshield and rear window have the Carlite logo on the bottom centre. The door glass has it at the front bottom close to the vent window. All logos are readable from the outside. I don't know if that means they are on the inside or outside.

    My engine is similar in that it does not have the vin on the block. It is a replacement engine with the block number C8AE-6015-B decodes as a 302 block from the Windsor plant used in 1968 for building 289 engines. The number stamped where the vin would normally be is 8K13 76, which decodes as...

    Ford did make convertibles out of coupes in the fox body era. I don't believe it was done in 1968 though.
