well if this car's VIN is 161XXX and has a recessed cap it means there are repro panels out there or some kind of repair part that causes this. There is no way this is a debut car.

1968 Engine weight, alum. V. Cast Iron

I had 3 68.5 CJ intakes at one point. The 428cobrajet site says the iron ones weigh 75 pounds. Personally I don't think the weigh quite that much but probably close. The site also states the police interceptor intakes from back in the day were probably 25 lbs. Lighter and were aluminum. Find...

Also we know the R code CS vin numbers (3 of them) and where they are. If he said it was a HCS then there could have been a minuscule chance it was a real R code HCS.

1968 Good news / Bad news from the 2011 Recognition Guide

I have bit my tongue on the bashing thing but I can't stand it any longer. Paul: The people who preordered the books and paid in full YEARS ago should have been the first books that were sent out. I was one of these people and had to email you to see if my books were sent out, when I emailed...

If one of them had a Marti then all will. Now, GUARANTEEING that the Aqua one we are talking about was a debut car and it had a Marti means they will all have Marti's.

I have taken a little time to thumb through the book and read a few sections. I like the book, lots of info and lots of pics. Slightly bummed I didn't get a pic or mention of my car somewhere.

    1968 1968 GT/CS Paul Newitt's book on E-bay

Anyone else disappointed that people who paid for their book 3-4 years ago don't have them but someone that didn't PREORDER can buy one and have it before the PREORDER people?

haha, the engine compartment has been repainted. Check the 4th photo where it shows the core support and the AC lines going through. See how shiny it is? That's not original or "wax". It's not bad to have things repainted IMO but saying the paint is original is another.

    Golly!...

after seeing the tailights and things on the roof I was expecting 2 engines.
