    1968 Gauges

I was just wondering if it could be done. I am going to use some autometer gauges with some gauge cups like I saw at a car show. to see what the temp and oil pressure is when I put the rebuilt engine in. Neil I am going to call you tomorrow. I have a question about the a/c parts list you sent me.

    1968 Deluxe seat belts?

Somebody had a complete black set on Ebay. I was watching it and it didn't sell. I didn't see where it was relisted. I should've pulled the trigger when I saw them the first time. They were real nice looking.

    1968 pony fell through hole

To me the worst part of the job is removing the speedometer nut and then putting it back on. And if you have a/c make sure the vacuum lines are put back on properly by the a/c controls. Also if you decide to pull it off tape up the steering column with some painters tape. Ask me how I know...

    1968 Harmonic Balancer

Got it! There was a bolt right under the timing pointer that was loose. That's why I could move it. Once I removed it I saw the cam gear with no teeth. The chain wasn't on it anymore. I think I'm going to pull it out and rebuild it stock.

    1968 Harmonic Balancer

I got the balancer off. Now I can't get the timing cover off. It is free and moves, but I can't get it to come off. And to add insult to injury one of the thermostat housing bolts broke off at the head. So it's definately time for a new intake.
