    1968 Engine Firewall

That's what I did when the engine was still in the car. I never got to the engine bay with the engine out. I have to pressure wash it in a couple of weeks. I then might see what he is seeing, but I never noticed it before.

1968 Dropping in from time to time.

We drove around the neighborhood today looking for a house to buy. I saw a thunderbird in someone's garage and a few other old cars and sports cars on your street.

    1968 Vibration

I brought the engine to the rebuilder yesterday. Once I install it and get it back on the road I'll update this thread, actually the vibration was there before the AOD. So I'm going to change the U Joint's and get the drive shaft balanced. I'm changing the motor mounts too. Also all of the...

I always had a sneaky feeling the vibration was coming from the motor mounts.

I just found this and want to know if this bolt is supposed to be tight or loose? It's the bolt for the motor mount. Both sides were loose. One side was looser than the other.

    1968 engine

Thanks Dave for the offer , but I'll be bringing it Tuesday. I took the flywheel off with a shallow socket and cut my finger and a knuckle. That flywheel is sharp. Lesson learned.

    1968 tail light bulb sockets

I had the same problem. One was so bad that I pushed the socket through and it was a royal pain in the butt to get the bulb in. Maybe others have a remedy for you. But you can try lectra clean.

What is the best way to transport a engine? I dont have a engine stand. I was thinking of making a crate. I went and bought some wood. Any suggestions? I finally got it out. I don't think it's ever been out the car.

    1968 almost ready to fire

This is why I hate headers. I had them on SBC and had to change the gaskets several times a year. Anybody know a good header manufacturer for a 289? What about the Hi-Po 289 factory headers?

    1968 Gauges

I'm going to have to do that then. It will definitely save me some money on gauges and cups. I got one of my answers from Classic Auto Air, but they didn't explain how to flush out the evaporator coil. Thats what I need to find out. I'm going to get the complete under the hood package.
