    1968 1968 Console

In the second link it shows carpet installation and the use of a dimmer switch grommet. Our cars did not use the grommet. Just cut a tight fitting hole in the carpet for the dimmer switch. I have deducted many times for the grommet at MCA national shows.

It looks like it turned out real nice. There is a great drawing in the interior 68 Mustang assembly manual. I think there may be some thing also in the 68 service manual. Marty

    . Rear Shocks

The breaker bar will work, most likely will snap the stud. Electric impacts are the way to go. You can take them with you to the junk yard.

    . Rear Shocks

I use a pipe wrench on the shock body and a 1/2 drive impact on the nut. It will either come off or break.

    1968 Marchal fog lights

The 656 was is the correct light for the GT/CS. The Marchal 653 differs by the number stamped in the top of the housing and originally used halogen bulbs. The 656 used Quartz iodine bulbs. Unless you are building a high end concours car I would keep the 653s that you have.

You would be correct. Mostly in and out of the trailer. The owner has owned it for 30 years as a pile of parts. He has dreamed of restoring it to this level for a long time. I was very honored to do the restoration for him. He has only driven it once since it was done do to his age. It is a very...

For Sale Red S-Code 4-speed in Arizona

Reading through the options the car came with I noticed it had the $13.90 accent stripe. This was an additional option that put a fine stripe down the tops of the fenders, doors and quarter panels. It's a little odd along with the GT/CS stripes and was rarely ordered. The red HCS I sold last...

My other project is a 1968 390 GT coupe that was a basket case apart for all most 40 years. It is candy apple red with black C stripe and black interior and a 4 spd transmission. I have not taken many pictures of but in this one you can see I am all ready up side down in it. LOL I could not...

Rob's Cougar post inspired me to post some pictures of a 1968 428 CJ that I restored and finished last summer for a friend. It has a 4.30:1 rear axel. Man is it a hoot to drive, factory race car.

    GT350 Restoration

I had a bit of a problem with the choke piston. Dr. Rob was able to help me over the phone and I got it running today. I have a few bugs to work on but should be driving soon.
