    Ruined My Door

Ouch! Sorry to see that, Brad. Hopefully it won't cost you too much to fix it. -Winston

    GT/CS for sale, 6-cyl 3-spd manual

Oh, I'll be sticking around. The Mustang bug is here to stay for me, and if I happen across another GT/CS (especially a fixer-upper) there's a good chance I'll bite. The wife really wants a '65-'66 convertible, though I don't suppose I can complain about that! ;D -Winston

Pics of the house that our GT/CS bought

Okay, here are a few pictures that I took from the road of our "new" house (the closing date isn't until June 13th, so I can't go in the house or on the property without asking). Note the 960 sqft garage/workshop to the right of the house. Unfortunately, the other red garage to the right of that...

68 ford, merc, coug service book

There are laws concerning fair use of copyrighted materials. However, I think that Ford would have a case against online reproduction of the entire manual, because that could potentially affect the sales of their product -- a no-no if you're claiming "fair use." All in all, I think it's a bad...

68 ford, merc, coug service book

In a lot of cases, old service manuals are in the public domain -- and therefore free to copy, sell, and distribute. That's why you see many of them on eBay in CD format. Unless a manufacturer keeps the copyright renewed, which many don't on discontinued products, then it becomes public domain...

    Somewhat Off-Topic: Route 66 Roadster

Well, I haven't quite decided that yet. I may go with the pure open top, and if it happens to shower when I'm driving it I doubt that I'll care! The open top design will be easier to build, less expensive (convertible top = $$$), and it'll leave more room for things like luggage. I plan on doing...

:D Haha! Didn't know that was your car. Don't look in your garage ;) -Winston

    Somewhat Off-Topic: Route 66 Roadster

Nooooo, I'm not chopping up an original Mustang -- especially not a convertible! The roadster will consist of a hand-laid fiberglass body using classic Mustang styling cues. I'll probably use some reproduction pieces for parts when I can, such as headlight buckets and Tony Branda fiberglass. It...

    Somewhat Off-Topic: Route 66 Roadster

Okay, I can't stand it anymore. My idea is really taking shape (good thing ideas are free) and I want to share! Here is a photo from the Gallery (my apologies to the owner) that I hacked up to approximate my vision of the Route 66 Roadster:

    GT/CS for sale, 6-cyl 3-spd manual

You can bet on seeing some pics! You all can drool over the 960 sqft garage/workshop ;D All of that room and no project cars to put in it... for now. Oh, and earlier I hinted at a GT/CS project. Here's another teaser: Route 66 Roadster ;) I'm in Houston, so if anybody wants to drop by feel...

    Value of a rustbucket GT/CS

Yeah, you're looking at $2k minimum value. I would actually place it at around $3000 if it were mostly complete but just rusty and non-running. That price is based on the few I've seen in that condition, assuming a large target buying audience (i.e. eBay). Ron is right, offer something like $500...

    CS on ebay

I took a look at it too. It looked very nice, and I didn't notice any incorrect GT/CS items. I could do without the velour seats, though, but that's a fairly cheap fix if you feel the same way. Complete interior kits can be had for around $550, so just the seat covers would probably only cost...

The Special is sold! ;D :'( Congrats to the site member who shall remain nameless, unless they decide to come forward. -Winston

    She's going up for sale...

Well, it's a money thing, plain and simple. We need cash to buy our dream home, and we're selling the Cal Special to help with that. We don't want to sell the GT/CS, but it's a necessary evil in order to get something that both my wife and I really want. We feel that the sacrifices we're making...

    GT/CS for sale, 6-cyl 3-spd manual

I'll get a newer shot of the tail, some interior shots, and some shots of the engine bay up by this weekend. I would like to point out that the pictures make the paint look better than it actually is. Oh, and yes those side stripes are painted on!! ::) -Winston

Pictures taken by me last fall. Yes, I have the Lucas fog lights as mentioned above, they were just off for cleaning during these pics. #1
