Neil, I have a '69 351w in my GT/CS and the difference I have found in the intakes are the 351 has 16 mounting bolts( 1 extra at each corner), and the 289/302 has 12 bolts. The 351w also has a different firing order(1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8). found that out the hard way also...

After going back out and looking things over, I put a jack under the front of the frame rail and lifted the body just until the axle left the jack stand pretty much like you said Mike. Good info Rob. I replaced mine last fall. Only because it had come loose from the frame clamp behind the wheel and was rubbing a hole in the tube where it rested against the torque box. All better now. Bret
