SOLD 1968 HCS Royal Maroon 289 3 speed

First thing, get the shock tower braces or an export brace installed. Those are structural pieces. The fog lights are all wonky in the grille, should be straight and level. Your eyes are drawn to the them. The engine is clearly not the original 289. Is it a 302? Is that an Edelbrock 4v...

SOLD 1968 HCS Royal Maroon 289 3 speed

Wow, shortest list of options on a Marti Report that I have ever seen. The absolute lowest price 289-2V 1968 HCS likely sold.

    1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E XR-7 4-Speed

The current owner paid up for that car 5-6 years ago. 1 of 3 built, 1 of 2 known. This car is the most original of the two surviving R code GT-E 4 speeds.

1968 Drive In Media GT/CS Info Video on YT

Decent video for our much loved special edition Mustang. Did not spot it in the registry. Only a handful of true, 65D, bench seat deluxe interior cars registered. According to one of the comments, was formerly owned by Eric Ritchie. Thanks for posting.

    For Sale 1968 Meadowlark Yellow 289 GT/CS

Yes, California had air pumps 1966-67. 4 bolt pulleys make them easy to identify from 3 bolt pulleys found on some 1968 Mustangs. This car also has an non-1968 style air cleaner snorkel, and or base.

    For Sale 1968 Meadowlark Yellow 289 GT/CS

Item removed from eBay. There is a lot going on in that engine bay that precedes, 1968 'factory' installed equipment.

Looks like it may have a 1968 Shelby console? Marti says that it has the GT option.

    1968 FantomWorks

I hope that the seller gets a good price for it. The fog lights and hood twist locks look like they could be changed back to stock? Would sure help make it look more like a proper 1968 GT/CS. I like the console, and deluxe door panel inserts without the deluxe bottom section. I wonder if it...

For Sale Aqua GT/CS in Michigan

It is true that some time after the strike that some or all of the 289 engines were built with 302 blocks. They still had 289 crank shafts though.

For Sale Highland Green GTCS in The Netherlands

Good looking car. Highland green and saddle interior would be my second favorite choice of colors. Looks like it has a 289/302 and an 8 inch rear end, now, though. Was born with air conditioning. Only has the right and left dash vent remaining.

For Sale Red GT/CS Project in Spokane

It had a hard life those first 15 years. C or J code? Salvaged title? Definitely over priced in my opinion. Did you Marti this one? Door tag information on one of those pictures? I for one, appreciate all of the personal time and money, you devote to these cars Arlie. Kudos.

    1968 A question on original v. restored?

I am going to stay away from the word 'survivor' or unrestored in my response. If a car has mostly original paint, is presentable 'as is', with patina on the trim and interior. I would be inclined to leave it alone. I lean towards the word time capsule, instead of survivor. Survivor to me, is...
