I am about to replace my seal with a new Daniel Carpenter piece. It looks to be very well made and replicates the original very well. I am uncertain about how to install the clips into the seal. I had hoped that they were already installed, but the clips are separate. I assume that I remove...

The GT valance with quad tips is one of the more common mods done to a non-GT GT/CS. Almost as common as replacing the plain hubcaps with the GT ones. :grin:

Thanks Rob. I was not aware of this. The combination has been fine for almost 4 years now, and my previous car is also going great with this combo since 2009. Now that I'm aware of the potential, I will keep an eye on this.

ba I have a stock 289 2V and use the basic yellow top coil with the base Pertronix module that hides under the distributor cap. Used the same set up on my previous 289 2V car. Works perfectly with no issues.

My current favourite wax is Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus in paste form.

I just replaced mine and the clips with the pads on them were along the bottom of the panel.
