    1968 Brake Light Question

Wow, there is a lot of information when you search for turn signal switch! It does sound like my problem. About the grounds, do you have to open up the taillight panel to check them? That looks like a real big issue to get in there. Thanks for the advice.

    1968 Brake Light Question

Thanks for the reply. Quite honestly, I'm not sure how long it has been happening. The only recent work was a rear bumper swap. I messed around with the bulbs today. Shot some WD-40 into the sockets and put some dielectric grease on the contact points. One of the springs in one socket is a...

    1968 Brake Light Question

I had the car out for a run this morning, and when I backed it into the garage, I noticed that the left side brake light did not seem as bright as the right. After a bit of experimentation, I found the following: - With the headlight switch on in the parking light position, both tail lights...

    1966-67 HCS radiator recommendations

I obtained a FoMoCo radiator and had it rebuilt for my 68 GT/CS. The shop used larger tubes to give me 25% more cooling. It cost more than a new one, but it looks correct and really cools well.

    . Repro Starter Solenoid Problem

While I don't know that the NPD solenoids are great, the one I have now works fine and looks a lot more correct than the parts store one.

And it is done and all back together. The car looks so much better with the re-chromed Ford bumper.

    1968 Replacing Rear Bumper

Okay, the old bumper is off and all the hardware and tag light have been switched over to the new one. I got the bumper guards off first and am glad I did. Ended up taking the light off as I realized that I would most likely want to clean it up. Correct! The lens was so cruddy, I am...

    . Repro Starter Solenoid Problem

I bought the "best" solenoid from NPD. The one on the car when I bought it was a parts store special. It worked fine, but did not look correct. I installed the NPD one, and started the car up. Worked great. Put my tools away, and went to go for a drive and the starter would not disengage...

    1968 Replacing Rear Bumper

One more question on the bumper swap. My car has the rear bumper guards. I noticed that they actually extend a little over the bottom edge of the bumper. Will the guards complicate removal or installation of the bumper? I'm hoping they don't need to be removed first. Thanks again.

1968 Does This Car Sound Familiar?

That has to be the same car. It matches what the fellow was telling me. It was really cool talking to him about it. He obviously has a soft spot for these cars.

Do you know if that car was purchased from Vancouver BC?

1968 Does This Car Sound Familiar?

I had mine out for a run this afternoon and stopped at the gas station on the way home. A fellow came up to me and started talking about the GT/CS. He owned one in Vancouver a few years ago. Blue with aquamarine two tone deluxe interior, 390 with a C-6. He said he sold it as it was just...

    1968 Cam for a C code

When my C code was apart, the machine shop showed me the cam which they thought was a Crane cam. The part number on it is #36-05-01. The engine is bored .030 over, is balanced and runs very strong.

    1968 Replacing Rear Bumper

Thanks Jester. I had been thinking about doing that also. Seems more straight forward than unplugging and pulling the wire through.

    1968 Replacing Rear Bumper

Thanks for the pictures! I'm guessing that the plate light wire comes out through the shield. Is that correct?

    1968 Replacing Rear Bumper

I have a re-chromed Ford bumper that I bought just after acquiring my GT/CS. It even has a correct build code. I want to install it this Spring. When I unbolt the old one from the car, do I unplug the license plate light before I remove the bumper or should I take the screws out from the...
