James, Thanks for the additional information. This has got to be an infrequent transaction at DMV. And per your advice, bringing as much written/physical proof to the DMV counter will help alleviate any questions. I will post my experience as I go through the process. -Jeff

All, I'm getting interested in pursuing the YOM black and gold California plate program. Anyone here in CA go through the YOM DMV process lately? Other links to stories seem to imply that you will need a vintage year sticker as well when going to DMV. DMV form Reg352 doesn't mention this...

Re: the primo Chevelle... I think there's a premium for the brody knob!!! Oh, and being able to "see" right into the trunk through the wheel well.

Joe, I took some measurements based on the PDF print that Casey provided. Tried to make sense of the dimensions that are called out. Looks like the drawing is showing measuring out from the center of the hood at the "V" to the pin. This dimension is 17.61" (15 PV plus 2.61). The tape measure...

The Hood Pin Location drawing is interesting. There's not enough info there to build from. I'm assuming all numbers are in inches. Probably need the rest of the car to do measuremnets from. Looks like- 40 A, and 45 A refer to a reference datum (maybe the top view from firewall?) 20 S.V and 25...

Neil, I was able to back the converter off the flex plate (without loosening the bell housing). Not much room, but it is do-able. Wondering if the vibration is possibly related to the transmission or rear end. Is the vibration there at 1100 rpm when in park? Also, are your motor mounts in...
