Rob, The gal at the display made a point to say that the car was not primo. It was quite scratched and road ding'd on the hood (I think you can see that). The orange peel almost seems like a low budget repaint. Maybe they didn't care since it wouldn't show on TV?

Steve, No. I did not see the hood open. I would guess that, too...that they are non-functional.

Back in my hotel room at the Knott's hotel after the show- I happen to have a view of the employee parking lot out my window. I spy a Mustang in need of a little TLC. Gosh, it sure looks like a CS from the side. I go down to the lot and take a few more pics while getting a closer look. Sure...

I took a couple of pics of the Knight Rider GT500KR Mustang at Knott's on Sunday. Guess what kind of hood pins are on it? Yep, same ones as the '68 California Special. How cool is that? They should have put those on the new gen CSs, too!! Hope you can see it in the pic.
