Southern Oregon CS on Craig's List

To me, as long as the motor is the correct displacement, I don't think that "numbers matching" devalues the car by a huge amt of $. Is it a J-code car?

Southern Oregon CS on Craig's List

The value really depends upon the amount of rust and how much body work needs to be done. Interiors are easy to replace as are engine compartments to spruce up. But if you have to pay someone to do metal work for you, the $$$ rack up very quickly.

This is not mine--just passing it on: (in case it goes away from CL, it is black in pictures) http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1316956392.html California Special 1968 - $12500 (Grants Pass) Date: 2009-08-10, 10:53PM PDT Reply to: sale-5swb3-1316956392@craigslist.org [Errors when replying...

    Got Pebble Beige GT/CS??

I think that's a classy looking interior. Amy, sometimes the most unusual Mustangs are the most interesting and attractive...I tire of looking a red, red, blue, red, white, etc. Show me a nice, freshly done Prairie Bronze, or a (S)Lime Gold with green interior(!!!) and I notice that these cars...

    1968 Exclusion from registry book.

JMO, but it seems to me that, once Marti reports became available, the written registry became fairly obsolete. I do have a copy of each of the earlier texts, and foolishly pre-ordered one with money sent. But truthfully, I haven't looked at my books in several years. For the 2 CSs that I've...

No trickier than my old truck with granny low. You always start out in second (down left)--It gets to be any easy habit.

    2005 Registry Update Thread

The last deluxe report I got (5/09) was emailed to me within 36 hours, and I received the hard copy in the mail a couple of days later.

    390 X Code for sale

Then it is not Blu(e?)Stang's car. And speaking of Old-Timer's Dz, I can't even remember if his car is an S or and X...scarey. Seems like I recall seeing a 390 car on ebay up that way a couple of years ago--maybe this is it.

I think that belongs to a guy named Bluestang (?) here on this site.

I am very curious about this car as well...and what they are actually looking to get for it. It would be a nice match to my other '68 Mustang.

    Classic Mustang.com

Sounds ominous! I've spoken w/Mark and looked at one of his cars for sale (he's "local" to me in Portland, OR)...it was an over-priced pile. Seemed like a nice guy, but a typical vintage car dealer.

    1968 GT/CS Value Question

$7K sounds like a decent price for what you're describing if you're able to do a lot of stuff yourself. But unless you do a low-level Maaco paint job, you are going to spend WAY more than that for paint and interior. IIRC, and interior kit runs around $500 alone, just for the vinyl stuff...

    . My 351 dip

Aside from the wrong part, it may be that your dip stick tube isn't driven far enough down into the hole it belongs in. I have that problem in one of my '69 351Ws. It is a tight fit and the tube, etc, was painted. We drove it in and realized it wouldn't go all the way...but it is wedged in so...
