    +1, Using the original, or repop GT/CS fog light brackets, which are a lot more sturdy than the standard support brackets, will stiffen the grille greatly.

    Got Salt? In your case, if you are building a concours driven car, and might go anywhere there might be Salt, I would paint the HB Semi-Gloss Black just to prevent rusting, or at minimum clear coat it. JMHO. Mike

    This is a unmolested 68' SJ J code coming out of the hole for the first time. Hard to tell by the photos, but the HB was natural (rusted) and the pulleys were semi-gloss black when cleaned up. Hope this helps. MCA Judges sheet call for S-G Black or Natural for the HB.

    1968 Moog LCA

    Use lots of axle grease on the tap, this will capture the chips when you tap. Clean it often and re-grease. Since you are only going in a small distance, you may not have to clean before the job is done. JMHO. Also works well when chasing spark plug threads in heads still on an engine.
