'07 Shelby GT--California Edition?

There is this new ad campaign where they're making 200 limited edition Shelby GTs just for Northern California.

There is an ad on TV in the No. Calif. market, which I'd like to grab on tape (anyone else get it?) It's usually played during the 6pm and/or 11pm news.

They are offered in black or white with silver stripes, and the nameplate is on the dash, stating that it's a California Edition Shelby GT. However as I understand it, new owners will have to contact Shelby (in Vegas) with your VIN to get your # from 1-200 over the phone.

If anyone knows anything else, please post it here, or PM me. I plan on mentioning it in the book, along with the '06 Mustang CE, SDS, and the SCS editions.

Thanks,

Paul N.

From what I have heard there is a Northern California verision and a southern California verision. The ones here are Black or White and the only difference is they have the Shelby gauge pod in the center of the dash. The southern California one is Grabber Orange. But anyone out there correct me if I heard wrong. The cost of the gauges and gauge pod on the sticker was 950.00 plus ADM, which I have seen to be 15,000 +.

Paul,

Saw this commercial recently on FSN-Bay Area during Giants games. I could not find any other info on it other than the commercial.

200 California Edition Shelby GTs for Nor Cal... These will be rare.
