1968 bolt colour?

What is the proper colour for the bolts that go up and down each side of the engine bay? -mine are painted and I know that's not right! thanks,

I assume you are talking about the three bolts on either side of the shock towers which hold the coil spring covers in place, if so, they are nickle cadmium, same as the fender bolts.

So they are differently coloured than the 4 bolts that hold the brace between shock tower and firewall?? Those bolts appears to have a goldish hue...

Stephen, That is correct. The four bolts on the firewall end are zinc-diechromate (goldish hue) with phosphate and oil finish on the nuts. The shock tower nuts holding the export brace to the shocktower are nickle cadmium. The shock bolts which hold the top of the shock to the shock tower are nickle cadmium. The brake master cylinder and booster (if equipped with power brakes) are painted as a unit and is Semi-Gloss black, including the master cylinder cover.
