Neil, I feel your pain. ACC lacks miles of making someting that is close to OEM quality and fit. They did, long ago, make a superior fitting product, but they somehow have managed to lose the handle. ADD also bought out the only competition they had (ACS) so it is correct that they are the best source. Sadly their product could stand a lot of improvement. They are now using a product called "RAYLON" which may be better, but the jury is still out on that. I had issues with their product and tried several sets before finally getting a carpet they can supply called "mass backed". It is more expensive, but fit much better. The issue of "fuzzy" may not have been solved, not sure yet on that. NPD worked hard to satisfy me, right to the top of the ladder. They went far beyond what I expected. One of the VPs at ACC also did all he could to help me get a passable product, and if you send me a PM I will give you his contact info. Virginia Mustang Supply is aware of the "mass backed" and will not think you are "some kind of a nut" if you call them about it, as well as NPD. We all had higher expectations but so far pretty much the same product. NPD will have a stock of the "RAYLON" but you may have to insist, and end up talking to Scott Halseth to get it if the order taker is not up to speed. You will find a long discussion of the carpet problems in the HIPO EXCHANGE forum, and some new information about the RAYLON in the Vintage Mustang Forums. Rest assured that you are not alone in your disappointment with the ACC carpet. Send me a PM if you have questions about who to contact at ACC in order to bitch - I am on a first name basis with him, and he really did give me all the help, and probably more, that he could.
