1968 Cellphone Video

I was taking my GT/CS to the shop this morning and noticed a mini-van pacing me in the left lane. I looked over and the passenger was doing a cellphone video of the car.

I've never had a car that gets attention like this one. Incredible!! :grin:

...Happens to us all the time. Especially when we have multiple cars on the freeway. Be cautious when the driver is doing it rather than a passenger. Sometimes their depth/distance perception is not all good...

Wait...it gets better! I had a call from the shop this afternoon. A group of photography students were there and wanted to take some pictures of the car in the repair bay. I said OK, as long as they don't touch the car.

The person that painted my car pulled it out of the bay the other day to take final pics of it done, and a lady took pictures of it with the snow on the ground and wants to take more when everything is green and put the car in a calendar and in a little New England booklet that is passed around at car shows. Pretty cool I think.

...It's the best thing about owning GT/CS cars for me. A conversation starter for a wide range of nice folks in all age groups. They're photogenic and fun regardless of what's under the hood (speaking as one who tires quickly of motorheads and perfectos...) I've also given more than my share of rides to some "appreciatives" in parking lots which culminated in terrific friendships... Great fun!

I've always enjoyed people's reaction to the car when we have it at show and shines. They're always so surprised when I say: "Do you want to sit in the car so you can have your picture taken with it?" They're always amazed that we'd let them ... but we enjoy sharing the car with other folks so that maybe they'll get the "Mustang Bug" too!

It happened again this morning. I was driving on Blanshard Street, same as before, and noticed a couple in a UHaul cube van. I could see they were checking the car out, and next thing I see is the passenger window rolling down and up comes a camera. She was shooting pictures for blocks. I came home and told my wife that we must have a celebrity in the family...
