Sometimes you see clocks sold on ebay. Taking your chances on if it works or not. Other than that, I don't know a good source but I know a good alternate for putting in a clock. Remember the tach idea?? Just a thought.

I remember the tach topic and I actually looked it up before I posed this question and read through some of the posts. I'll offer the idea but he seemed to want the clock when talking to him.

Does anyone offer aftermarket clocks? I've never really even looked into it. Guess I'll go do some Mustang parts browsing, I just assumed where he hadn't found any they must not make aftermarket ones.

Thanks for the reply.

hooked,
you can find them cheaper than $177 on ebay. I see them sell for anywhere from 50-100 all the time, you will no doubt have to convert them to quartz timing. Almost all the original 67/68 (they are exactly the same) have to be converted because of gears wearing out. Type in mustang clocks in classic autos on ebay and you should find them.

Thanks guys, found several and emailed him the link. I take it they don't make aftermarket clocks? Seems odd that someone hasn't manufactured a replacement. I see the kits and stuff on ebay to change them to quartz as well. Anyway I gave him the info so I guess if these fit his bill he should be set.

Contact Kevin at KAR Mustang here in Columbus, Ohio. If memory serves me correct I beleive they can get an aftermarket quartz clock. I needed one for my GT but, they aren't cheap. I remember someone telling me one time you can rewind the old clocks somehow but, I'm not really sure how it's done. Talk to Kevin. I'm sure he can shed some info on this subject.
