I found a NICE steering wheel on e-bay. The simulated woodgrain is good, the black plastic is good. But the metal strip that separates the woodgrain from the black is not so nice. Anyone know of a fix for the strip? It looks like a thin metal strip. Availability? Technique?

I bought a roll of the mylar tape, but it must be old. It doesn't want to stick. I can send you some and see if you can get it to work. Not sure I still have your address Neil.

Did not do mine but the guy in New Zealand who did told me he chamfers the slot ever so slightly and glues it in place. Then clear over the top.
