I'm surprised this car hasn't bid higher. Looks like a descent car. Lots of reproduction parts but that shouldn't hurt it much. I'd have thought this would be bidding into the low $200's at least. Jason, looks like I paid WAYYYYYYYYYY too much for mine. Don't tell my wife, I told her it was a good deal.

the only thing about a reserve auction is that it could have a reserve of $300k. Someone could have bid 200k and the next person could have bid $275k but the bid would only show $201k.

I almost bought this car about 4 years ago, my friend did instead. It was in the middle of a protracted legal battle between a body shop and an owner. Another good friend of mine is the person who actually finished the restoration. It should have recieved a gold but brought siliver. This car was restored by Pete Disher in Wisoconsin, who is a 68 Shelby Gold Card judge. You can see more details about this car on his website www.thecoralsnake.com

Pete will be overseeing our restoration of another super rare 68 GT-500KR convertible that I just bought. In fact none of you have ever seen one quite like it....this much I am sure. It is a 68 KR convertible painted Royal Maroon....the only one built for the 68 Shelby convertible.
