FaceTime

Neil and I spoke to each other this afternoon with FaceTime but since I didn't even know such a thing existed I used the phone normally, so he probably had a nice view of my ear!

Do any of you use FaceTime? Is it any good? The send/receive lag time seemed to be a little extreme.

My kids use it to see and talk to my parents when the are in Florida all winter. It seems to work well for us. The only complaint is it uses a lot of data, so if you do not have an unlimited plan it can add up.

If you have WI-FI you shouldn't use any data. On the vessel I'm on we have WI-FI and the other mate uses it to talk to his family.
