My son was using his photoshop software and was playing around with a picture of our CS. He showed me this and I thought it looked pretty cool, sorta like a pencil drawing of the car. Here it is:

Steve,

Speaking of pictures - I see that you have a Candy Apple Red J code. I also have one that I am beginning to restore. It's in good shape now, but doesn't have the correct stripe, interior color, etc.

I'm looking for some good exterior pictures of a Candy Apple Red car with white stripes, along with some good pictures of a restored 302 4V engine and compartment. I noticed that you had no pics in your gallery, and wondered if you were going to post some? I'd love to have some good pics of a red car to use as my computer wallpaper, etc. It would just inspire me more to finish the restoration!

Hi Doug: I just finished my car before the cold weather hit our area. It's buttoned up and stored in my garage right now. I'm waiting for a warmer, sunny day to fire her up and take some more pictures. Here are some recent shots just after my stripe application. I'll post some pictures to my gallery in the Spring. I took all of my pics out of the gallery since they were mostly restoration pictures. Good luck with your restoration. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Almost forgot the engine views. It's not complete in these pictures but maybe you'll get some inspiration from it:smile:

Thanks Steve!

Sweet looking ride! I know it may sound snobbish, but when a muscle car is bright red, it's just like the icing on the cake - ya know?

Did you do anything extra to the motor? I bought a 330 hp 347 stroker made from a block with all the correct numbers. Can't wait to see what it can do. Too bad we only have 40 miles of paved roads here in Kodiak!

Thanks Doug. Yeah, I tweaked the motor a bit, but nothing like a Stroker motor. Have fun with the car as you restore it. 40 miles of pavement isn't so bad, it should be enough to burn up some tire tread:grin:

Steve,

I was just looking at your car in the gallery and was thinking, "Man I wish my engine looked like that".

Thanks Califgirl: It doesn't look quite that good now since puting all the "extras" on the engine. That picture was right after I dropped it in the car. You wouldn't believe all the muck and grease on that engine when I first dismantled it. I thought I would never see it clean. The engine shop "hot tanked" it and it came out great. Here's a pick soon after I started the rebuild with the pistons and crank installed. If you get an urge to detail your engine, I'm sure you wouldn't have to take it to this extreme.

Your car is beautiful and I love that Candyapple red!
