GT Means?...

Hi all, just wonderning what GT stands for? One of my Co-workers and I were actually asking what it means.. We have no clue - But, thinks it stands got Grand/ Track/ Touring?? any Ideas??

Originally it was Gran Tourisimo, which we would call Grand Touring.

The "GT in GT/CS means something different than the "GT" for GT equipment group, does`nt it?
