i just wanted to ask... what is a good heater core ? i can get a spectra premium core from auto zone for $21.99 and it has a life time warranty..is this a good deal...or should i spend another $20.00 and go to one of the big mustang parts houses....and should i get copper?

The last one I got was from O'Reilly. Lasted about 7 years. I just replaced mine with one from CJ Pony parts. I'm not home, but think it was around $43. I also replaced all the foam around the core and inside the heater box. So far so good.

You do not want aluminum, they will last maybe one year at best. Go with copper.

A word of caution: Whichever brand you get, leak check it before installing.
